Easter Sunday
According to the Gospel of Luke, 24: 13-32, two disciples, one named Cleopas, are walking on the road to Emmaus, about 8 miles from Jerusalem, when they meet Jesus. He questions why they are sad and without recognizing Him they relate the recent events concerning His delivery to Pontius Pilate by the Sanhedrim, condemnation, crucifixion and His Resurrection. They invite Him to dinner, then after He broke bread, "..their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight." They return to Jerusalem to meet with the other disciples.
